(Nursery – LKG – UKG)

At Mission English School our Pre-Primary programme is designed to nurture young minds in a joyful, secure, and stimulating environment. We focus on holistic development, laying a strong foundation in early childhood education through play-based and experiential learning.

🧸 Nursery (2.5 – 3.5 years)

Objective:
To gently introduce children to a school setting, focusing on social, emotional, and motor development through play.

🐝 LKG – Lower Kindergarten (3.5 – 4.5 years)

Objective:
To build early literacy and numeracy skills while promoting curiosity, independence, and confidence.

  • Language: Phonemic awareness, vocabulary building, pre-writing
  • Math: Numbers, shapes, patterns, sorting
  • EVS (Environmental Studies): Exploring surroundings, nature, seasons
  • Creative expression: Drawing, singing, role-play
  • Life skills: Routine, self-help, sharing and cooperation

Activities:

  • Theme-based learning (colors, animals, transport, etc.)
  • Sand and water play
  • Puppet shows and storytelling
  • Letter and number recognition games

🌟 UKG – Upper Kindergarten (4.5 – 5.5 years)

Objective:
To prepare children for formal schooling by strengthening academic readiness and social-emotional skills.

Key Areas:

  • Language: Letter sounds, basic reading, sentence formation
  • Math: Number concepts up to 100, simple addition/subtraction
  • EVS: Our world – family, plants, community helpers, festivals
  • Writing: Cursive writing readiness, structured writing patterns
  • Critical thinking: Puzzles, reasoning, sequencing
